Presentation of Eurecha

The European Committee for the Use of Computers in Chemical Engineering Education - EURECHA - was established in 1976 to enable software for teaching and methods of computer aided teaching to be exchanged between universities in Europe. EURECHA has currently a 18-member executive committee that considers projects which fit in the aims and objectives of the organisation. Eurecha is managed under the auspices of the Computers Aided Process Engineering Working Party (CAPE-WP), one of the main working parties of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE).

EURECHA focusses on the following areas: Educational software, Tutorial case studies, Short courses/workshops, Educational sessions at Escape meetings, Cape forums... A description of its internal rules, as well as the list of its current members is available under this link:

Student Contest Problem (SCP) 2019

Every year, Eurecha organizes the Student Contest Problem, a challenge for CAPE-students that have to suggest solutions to a broad chemical engineering problem. In 2019, the SCP assignement focusses on the transition to green hydrogen in chemical and process industries. Deadline for submissions is February 15 2020, 23:59 CET.

The Eurecha Committee is happy to announce the winners of the Student Contest Problem 2018 and to publish the winning submissions.

1st Prize  - Preliminary design of the green diesel production process by hydrotreatment of vegetable oils

The prize was awarded at Escape Conference 2019 (Eindhoven).

The prize will be awarded at CAPE FORUM 2019  (Liège).
