International Double degree

The University of Genoa offers in its catalogue a Master in Chemical Engineering quite similar to our own Master. This observation after almost 10 years of collaboration led to a double-diploma agreement 4 years ago. The principle of the agreement is as follows : students do their final year of the Master's programme at the partner university and obtain both degrees at the end of that year of study.

Over the last 4 years, 3 Belgian and 3 Italian students have participated in this programme. According to the feedback we have received, our students are very satisfied with this exchange.

Like our department, the DICCA department of the University of Genoa cultivates a close relationship with the industrial world which was reflected in the subjects of our students' Final thesis on site. Indeed, these were linked to the treatment of emissions from cargo ship propulsion systems, or the cybersecurity of chemical industries (joint work by two students focusing respectively on the point of view of the hacker and the company respectively).

Consequently, our department and the DICCA have decided to extend this agreement for 5 years starting from the academic year 2022-23. The call for applications has been launched and the selection will take place early 2022. For any contact or information: g.leonard@uliege.be
